Even though it was only a tiny place, as you can see here, it still bothered me.

I didn’t want to use anything that included a lot of chemicals because I have dogs. They could reach the carpet, I knew.

I decided to try using hot vinegar to remove paint from paintbrushes after reading on various cleaning forums that individuals had had success with it.

In the end, I discovered a simple method for getting paint off carpet. Check out this simple guide on how to remove paint from carpet if there have been accidents.

Items Needed To Clean Paint From The Carpet:
-Vinegar
-Bowl
-Old Toothbrush or Denture Brush

To begin, you will need a bowl that can be placed in the microwave, vinegar, and a denture brush or an old toothbrush. For the smallest areas, I like to use the denture brush’s little side.

Step 1: Fill a bowl that is suitable to use in the microwave with a tiny amount of vinegar.

Step 2: Put the vinegar in the microwave and heat it for 20 to 30 seconds.

Step 3: After the vinegar is hot, carefully take it out of the microwave and go to the paint stain area.

Step 4: Use the toothbrush to apply a tiny bit of vinegar to the carpet’s paint stain.

Step 5: Scrub the paint gently with the toothbrush.

Step 6: To ensure that the vinegar is soaked into the paint, you might need to repeat this step several times.

Note: I advise working on a huge paint stain a little at a time.

Step 7: After soaking the paint in hot vinegar, set a timer for fifteen minutes and leave it alone.

Step 8: The stain will most likely appear the same when you return to it. However, the paint stain should be soft and sticky rather than hard and crusty.

Step 9: Remove the paint off the carpet with the brush. I combined using my fingertips and the brush. Without causing any harm to the fibres, I could effortlessly remove the paint from the carpet.

Step 10: Pulling up all of the paint only takes a minute or two. To remove the gummy paint, you might want to use a butter knife if you have a lot of paint or if the blob is thick.

Note: You might have to reheat the vinegar and go through the entire process once again. On the first attempt, it completely removed the paint from my tiny area. As you can see below, it made a difference.

After removing all of the paint, use a fresh cloth or paper towel to wipe the carpet dry before allowing it to air dry. When the carpet is totally dry, the vinegar odour will disappear.

By using this simple method, you can remove those unsightly paint stains from your carpet and restore its original appearance.
